A state of love, confusion, sadness may be madness have spread in the city that never sleeps "Cairo."

Most Egyptians love to hang out with their friends and families at night. However, they may get confused if they find all shops are closed at 9pm!

Shehab, conflict resolution trainer: "People are always out and the shops are always there. People like to go out. I think it will take away the nature of the city and its culture. Frankly, I have to admit, I don't have any shops downtown or any other place, so economically I won't be directly affected by this. But I am definitely hate waking around the city are close at 9 or 10 pm, which is in Cairo defination is pretty early. It will feel too much like just not Cairo." 

That decision was reported by Cairo governor Mr. Abdel Azim Wazir to be applied effectively by January 2011, which drove shops' owner mad, because simply people show up at night.

Mike, Mercado Italiano owner in Rehab & Downtown: "I am Mike working at Salad Fiesta. I think it's a horrible idea for the shops to close at 9 o'clock. I mean some people didn't go out of work till 8 - 9 o'clock. And you know this is Egypt that opens 24 hrs, they just stay open. I think it is very bad idea."

Others feel sad when hearing this news, because they think nothing can be done before 9pm.

Fatma, AUC Chemistry major at AUC: "Personally, I am Chemistry major and I finish my labs at 9 sometimes. So, closing shops at 8 means no shopping. No going anywhere, but just staying at home."  

Closing shops in Cairo at 9pm was the idea of Cairo Chamber of Commerce (CCC). What do you think Cairo will make to surprise Egyptians?

Is iPhone 4 better than 3GS?

I am sure that you have heard about Apple iPhone. But have you got the chance to use the new iPhone 4 to compare its new features with the old generations… I believe that technology is assumed to be guilty until proven innocent. So, let’s see what people think about new iPhone 4.
Mina Rady: “I think my smart-phone - I like it - it’s more practical in terms of the Keyboard. I don’t like the touch screen.”
On the other hand…
Beshoy Hosney: “The same thing exists everywhere, but iPhone is very great, because it allowed many applications. There is application that monitors your sleep if you slept well or not. Many applications”
These are some opinions about comparing iPhone with other smart-phones. However, Karim Aziz, as a fan of Apple iPhone has different opinion about iPhone 4 compared to its old generations. Especially, he is one of the users of the last three generations of iPhone: iPhone 1, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.
Karim Aziz: “Well the iPhone 4 is very fast comparing to 3GS. It has a new processor made by Apple named A4, which is very quick. It has as well, front facing camera to be able to video chat as face staring. And also the real camera of the new iPhone has a better quality of mega pixels of pictures with flash distance. It has new form factor. It isn’t the same size or form factor as the old 3GS. It’s squarer than the one before. When you use it, it’s a little bit weird. But you get used to it pretty quickly. Now, I really like it.”
Beside all of these new features, we can’t ignore the fact that new technology can be just a cover for out-dated products.
Mina Rady: “The new additions of iPhone 4 aren’t really new things. Which is also reveals how much out-dated the iPhone 3 was, that didn’t have multi tasking, or front camera or these other accessories. And still everyone bought it and always happy with it. Yea, it’s a kind of ironic.
In 1908, the nuclear physician, Edward Teller said that “may be the science of today can be the technology of tomorrow.” iPhone 4 is the science of today; imagine what will be the technology of tomorrow…
